Outlaw’s Delight is an enjoyable interracial, historical romance that takes you back in time. The characters show real bravery and endurance and Delight in particular is an exceptional woman. She manages to survive on her own in a very harsh place. She uses a delicate balance of cunning and charm to maintain her tenuous hold amongst some very rough characters. Simon is a great match for Delight because while he may want to take charge he realizes that Delight is no damsel in distress and a great partner to have in tight situations. Passion is alive and well and despite all the layers of clothing Simon and Delight have to shed to make love, they shed ‘em and do so quite frequently. Simon is a patient and masterful lover and he schools Delight on the art of pleasing a man and learning what pleases her. Overall, Outlaw’s Delight is an interesting historical romance and with Simon and Delight’s constant brushes with danger, the story is engaging to the end.

In Outlaw’s Delight by Dahlia Rose, Sheriff Simon Boothe is framed and sentenced to hang by the lies of the richest man in town, William Bonaparte. The night before Simon’s hanging, his deputy helps him escape. Simon travels to the closest town he can find refuge and the one place where a law man is not welcomed. He didn’t plan on being captivated by the brown skinned beauty who runs the Copperhead Bar and rooming house or finding out she has a grudge not only against him but also against Bonaparte. Delight Blue’s family was chased off their land by Simon working under Bonaparte’s orders and later killed by Bonaparte when they refused to leave. Deciding to work together, they plot their revenge and along the way forge a forbidden love. While Simon regains his life as sheriff, Delight is now his life and he won’t settle anyplace where he can’t live and love her openly without prejudice.
