Memories Die Last Nick Seven: Series 1 by Tim Smith is off to a great start. There is so much entertainment in Memories Die Last. This interracial suspense romance novel delivers a beautiful romance but along the way tosses in excitement, a complicated but fun plot and characters that kick ass. Felicia Hagens is a Caribbean beauty who can kill a man with her bare hands, while Nick is a white U.S. agent. Many things are happening in the book but it is all handled with expertise and care and while the plot is very involved, it is also very cohesive. I loved that at one point it seems Nick and Felicia are past the worst, then bam! They are thrown into the ring again, fighting for their lives against a man who is powerful enough to crush them but they refused to give up without a fight. The characters have spunk and are like real people with extraordinary lives. The plot is sexy and intricate and is sure to keep readers engrossed from one page to the next. The ending is suspenseful, engaging and very enjoyable. Great series and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Former CIA agent Nick Sevens is forced out of retirement in sunny Florida and back into active duty with the agency to catch an assassin he thought he eliminated several years ago. The entire team is reassembled including the beautiful and sexy Felicia Hagens. During their first team up, Felicia had an interest in Nick but neither acted on their attraction as they were both dealing with personal tragedies. Nick’s wife was brutally murdered by the man he vowed to track down and kill and Felicia had also lost the man she loved to violence. Now they are thrown together again and their feelings are just as keen as before. Given the opportunity Nick takes the chance and discovers Felicia may be the woman who can finally heal the ache left in his heart from his loss. However, before Nick and Felicia can decide whether there is more to their feelings than simply lust, there is a traitor among them. Together they have to work against time to expose the rogue agent, decipher an extensive government cover-up, and try to stay alive when the attacks against them become more violent and bold at each turn.
