I enjoyed this book. The author has done a fine job of creating two characters who absolutely don’t want a romance. Nor do they have any desire to attend a class reunion, especially if it means reuniting with former enemies. The author has created a hero who is happy in his job as a police chief, cares for his teenage daughter, and is through with marriage. Rory as a caring man, but in reality is lonesome. Dru Horvath is a lovely heroine, an interesting, beautiful world traveler. The author does a good job of describing feelings and emotions of the two main characters, especially making clear the instant attraction between the hero and heroine. The author has also done a fine job with the sense of place, and with the cast of secondary characters. The story kept me interested from the prologue to the very last page.

I would gladly read another book by this author.
