Could not put this book down. Had to find out what happens to Nicole. Cannot say I enjoyed reading this. But then, this story is a very dark thriller not a happy feel good story. ( )

A warning if you are faint of heart or a fan of horror “light” novels stay far away from Held by Kimberly A. Bettes. This novel takes you to the places you do not want to go and show you things you wish you could forget. This book has the oh shit this could really happen feel to it. It had really had me dreading to see what was going to happen next but couldn’t stop reading to find out what happens next. A great read if you are brave enough to give the book a try. Right up there with Jack Ketchum’s The Girl Next Door & Ryan C. Thomas’s The Summer I Died for realism that terrifies the hell out of you. ( )
