After seeing the movie, Bright Star, directed by Jane Campion, I was fascinated by the character of Fanny Brawne, and wondered how much liberty had been taken for the sake of making the movie dramatic. This collection of letters confirms what a spirited, opinionated person she was, how her love for Keats was true, and how she continued to be slightly tormented by Brown. ( )
