Keima Katsuragi isn't a popular student, he is what most of his class mates call an "otamegane", which is a combination of the word "Otaku" and "Megane" meaning glasses, and is considered to be an altogether weird individual . He is an avid gamer obsessed with gal games and he claims to hate all real world girls. In real life he is probably the least popular kid in his class, but in the world of games he is known as "The Capture God" and is said to be able to make any girl fall in love with him. One day he receives an email from someone asking him to help them "capture girls", and the always up for a challenge Keima promptly accepts.
As soon as the button has been pressed, a demon from hell named Elsia appears. She asks him to help her capture spirits that hide in the hearts of young girls, and explains that the only way to remove the spirits is to make the girl fall in love with you. However, Keima is only a "God" in the world of games and after explaining the situation to Elsia he promptly refuses. But the contract has already been sealed, and now the two of them must work together, or both lose there heads. ( )
