Book description
“I always wanted a ’52 pickup. I just didn’t think I’d have to write one.”

Who’s your driver? What direction are you going?

Jump into the passenger seat of 52 Pickup, a 52-lesson book for both Christians and those who are not yet saved. Each lesson contains an original poem, as well as the story behind the poem. The book explores a wide range of topics, based on the author’s real-life struggles and joys, and his pursuit of a Godly life.

The four sections - Frame; Body; Engine; and Accessories - separate the lessons into easily readable parts. Like the frame of a car, the Lord is our foundation and stability, even when it’s not something we can see; we must learn to rely on it. Body - the part of a car that is most visible - explores how we as individuals can display the changes God makes in our lives. Engine reminds us to maintain our relationship with God regularly, “for best performance results.” In Accessories, Steve addresses the misplaced focus we often have on material goods, and provides lessons that help us appreciate the most valuable thing of all: God’s grace.

Try one lesson a week, for a year, or pick through these devotionals for an issue you’re struggling with.(less)
