I received this ebook for free from Member's Giveaway. As a fan of vampire books, this one was great! I was hooked from beginning to end. Basically the premise with this book is Penny, a survivor of a vampire attack who killed her family. She goes to the Brotherhood to join forces to kill vampires. However, she is torn between two men... one human and one vampire... crazy I know.

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, the plot is fascinating and promising. On the other, at many points it reads like a Twilight fan's attempt at writing a vampire novel. The main character (I can't bring myself to call her a heroine) doesn't seem to have much sense and is rather unlikable by the end of the novel. The dialogue is somewhat drab and reads like a fanfic rather than a published work. It's okay for a couple hours of rainy day entertainment.
