After experiencing a humiliating breakup, twenty-two-year-old Cassandra Clarke is fresh out of college and living a simple, solitary life without any intention of pursuing love anytime soon. When the estate next door sells, the last thing Cassandra expects is the unnerving attraction she feels for her sinfully handsome neighbor, Logan West, the young and charming single father with a playboy reputation. It's through Oliver, Logan's four-year-old son, who keeps popping up in her childhood tree house, that she slowly begins to catch glimpses of the compassionate and wounded man Logan has hidden beneath his strong exterior. Oh my did I really love this book! However, I HATE cliffhangers! Hear me authors....I HATE them. I didn't even feel this one was terrible and hope like hell it's not a trilogy! I will say I did see the ex business coming but not the ending. I normally would not have been able to stick out a romance with....well, not much romance between the main characters but this was filled with interesting dialogue. This entire book is about the "building" relationship between the main characters. I will wait for reviews before I read the next one to see if any real progress is made. I need to have all the loose ends tied up for my HEA (that I still hope is going to happen in the next one!). ( )

Inevitable is a new adult romance starting off when Cassandra finds her boyfriend cheating on her and she decides to move into her grandparents old house which is pretty secluded with only the estate next door which has been empty for a while and had just been sold.
In walks Logan an absolutely gorgeous man that Cassandra is instantly attracted to. The problem is he is a player, sleeps with loads of women and even though Cassandra is attracted to him she doesn’t want to be just another notch on his bed post.
This book is fantastic, I am really liking the current new adult romances available at the moment and this kept be hooked. I loved the will they won’t they plot and loved how Cassandra and Oliver hit it off straight away and that she loved spending time with him.
Cassandra was a strong woman even with the hurt she had suffered, she was not going to allow that happen again.
As the story continues I got to learn more about Logan and the reason why he acts how he does and I could understand him more.
The ending of the book was left at a place that makes me NEED to read the second book as soon as it comes out. It was a “OMG don’t end it here!” moment.
Brilliant book, fantastically written and I can’t wait to read book 2 and other books written by the author. ( )

Inevitable by Angela Graham (Audiobook)
Narrated by Xe Sands
Series: Harmony book 1

4.5 Stars - I picked up this book solely because of 2 things.. it was a romance and it was narrated by Xe Sands. I haven't heard about this author before and I was quite enjoying it until boom! CLIFFHANGER!!! What?!?!? Ugh... I hate cliffhangers. Now thankfully this book was written in 2013.. so I currently have the next audiobook downloading as I type this. But wow, seriously did not see that coming - this is where an actual paperback type book sorta warns you… you know, with the lack of pages left… lol

Anyway, back to my review. This book has lots of flirty moments, it's a slow burn kinda book, lots of wishing and wanting and almosts.. which have built the tension nicely. I like both Logan and Cassandra and they are fun together. Oliver is a nice addition and offers a little more to each character in how they interact with him. There are some intense moments, some sweet, some not so much. I have paused in what I was doing more than once to just listen, as I watch the scene unfold in my mind.

So Yes, Still enjoying it.. and now as the download is complete.. I am off to listen to book 2! As always Xe Sands does a great job. She is one of my favourites!!

This book was so close to being 5 stars, but it came at a bad time for me. I've been reading so many cliffhanger books lately that I'm really over it. Whatever happened to getting a full story in one book?! And maybe I should have known going into this one since it said book 1 of 2, but I was really hoping that book 2 would be Caleb and Hilary's book. That being said, it was a great story. I loved the humor (the pool scene), and I really felt the connection between not just Logan and Cassie but also Oliver and Cassie. The scene in the art room at Logan's where Oliver showed Cassie the picture of his mom and talked about her... heartbreaking! I am sad for how the book ended, but I am also glad that Cassie is sticking to her guns. I was afraid when she was happy to hear Logan's voice at the accident scene that she was just going to give in to him, but she remembered what he did/said to her and made him leave. It's so refreshing to read a strong female character! ( )
