#128 bookworm12: I love The Alchemist! If you continue to enjoy that book, I'd recommend reading The Fifth Mountain, also by Paulo Coelho. He is a very fine Brasilian author.

I'm reading The Alchemist, which I had never heard of until recently. I found a beautiful copy of the book at a sale and although I'd never heard of it I bought it. It had gorgeous illustrations throughout. Anyway, I'm really enjoying it.

I liked The Alchemist, partly because a friend recommended it to me (I love reading friends' recommendations, since it also tells me something about them). But The Devil and Miss Prym is my favorite.
