A book made like they used to make 'em. Each color in every image is a separate wood block that has gone through the lengthy process of carving, registration, proofing and revision before going to press. Each letter of every word on the page and, indeed, the dust jacket, is its own individual piece of metal, and all are set letter by letter, space by space, line by line, The result is a book in which each mark, every space, and every page has been carefully laid out and painstakingly built by hand. This tends to give the somewhat unpromising subjects of entomology and fly fishing a certain strange kind of sublimity. ( )
