Although the club has a very prominent part i the book this is all about the history of political motoring. A survey of the club and its influence on politics over the hundred years of its existence. Although, of course, very few motorists were priviledged enough to belong to the Royal Automobile Club as full members, many were able to be associates in the RAC. ( )
