Er ist mutig, klug und voller Zuversicht: Sir Oblong-Fitz-Oblong, der kleine dicke Ritter mit dem guten Herzen, der es wagt, ganz allein gegen den bösen Baron Bolligru zu kämpfen. Sechs Abenteuer muss er bestehen, bis der Bösewicht besiegt ist. Ohne die Hilfe seiner Tiere, der Dohle Dolfus und des Dachses Wilhelm wäre es manchmal schlimm für ihn ausgegangen. Diese liebevollen, warmherzigen Geschichten schon für ganz Kleine wurden ein großer Erfolg durch die Fernsehfilme der „Augsburger Puppenkiste“.
