I read all the cat books and the Streetcat Bob books are my favourites. Read this in a day and hope there are more about Bob and James' relationship in the future. ( )

The World According to Bob are more stories about James Bowen and his adopted street cat Bob. This was just as lovely and heartwarming as the first book. I enjoyed the adventures the pair had and even got a little teary eyed in places it was so touching. Both have come such a long way on their journey together. James and Bob's story is truly inspiring. Who rescued whom! ( )

I received this book from a Goodreads Giveaway a couple of months ago and it got put in the pile. I picked it up on Wednesday evening and once I started reading it, I could not stop. It is the second book by [a:James Bowen|5828897|James Bowen|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1336145023p2/5828897.jpg] and I wish I had read the first one. His first book, [b:A Street Cat Named Bob: How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets|12394068|A Street Cat Named Bob How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets|James Bowen|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331779332s/12394068.jpg|17375206] explains how he ended up on the street and met Bob, the cat. This book, [b:The World According to Bob: The Further Adventures of One Man and His Street-wise Cat|18043373|The World According to Bob The Further Adventures of One Man and His Street-wise Cat|James Bowen|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1370531891s/18043373.jpg|25320304] was filled with stories and anecdotes about their adventures on the street. It was a very realistic look at what life on the street is like, sometimes very scary. This was a quick read, very entertaining yet extremely heart wrenching at times. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially those who believe in the power of pets. ( )

A continuation of his first book, "A Street Cat Named Bob," Bowen details more adventures with his beloved and extraordinary cat, Bob, and provides further insights into his own life. It is heart-warming once again to witness the transformative power of the human/animal bond and the lessons that can be learned if one's heart is open to them. I freely admit to being a cat lover, but any person with an open heart will love both books. They can be read independently and are both great summer reads!

A fun, quick read. I think James Bowen has a good heart and he and Bob make a great pair. I'll be interested to see how their story continues - hope to hear more from them. ( )
