Matron Anan Septinius was a princess of the province of Siga, a part of the Dahomey region, just southwesterly of Egypt. When her father was killed she had been allowed to take the title of Queen as long as she agreed to take a Roman husband. She had done as she was asked. However upon the death of her husband his illegitimate son by one of Anan's slaves, Quintus, had seized power and taken over.
Someone was causing her trouble on her lands. Her livestock was being poisoned, fires were set, and she had felt someone in her room at night on several occasions. It was during this time that Rome sent new personal guards and soldiers to protect her. Cassius was the leader of these men along with his second in command, Titus. We learn that Cassius and Titus are particularly close and they have their eye and their libido aiming for Anan.
This is a short read, well written with interesting characters and plot. Its very erotic. Well worth the read for fans of erotic stories. ( )
