Jessica Fevrier is out of work and needs to find a job. Her temporary agency offers her a one day job and she needs money so badly that she accepts it. The job, it turns out, is to clean the personal office of Asher Landseer. This is not the work that she usually does, but she really needs the money.
As she is walking down the hallway toward his office she is asked where she is headed. When she answers she get snide comments on how they feel sorry for her and she better watch out. All is quiet when she enters the office, so she starts by looking around. She spots bookcases and starts to check out the titles. She is looking at one antique book when the door opens and Asher walks in. He was supposed to be at a meeting so she is surprised and 'caught with the goods' and quickly pushes the book back into the spot she had pulled it from. As Asher is asking what she is doing there, the book falls from the shelf onto the floor, the binding splits, and the pages are scattered on the floor.
Asher is furious with her and ends up grabbing her and waling into his conference room to punish her! He pushes her on to the table and starts removing her clothes. She is so shocked she doesn't know what to do, so she doesn't fight him.... later as she is enjoying the glow of a major "O" e tries once again to apologize for ruining his book. Asher offers her another job. One supplying he and his wife with a donor egg and surrogate for hi child!
To say the beginning is wild is putting it mildly. What a fun read! The characters do unexpected things and keep you hopping and interested to see just what they will come up with next. I truly enjoyed the book and will be looking for more from this author! ( )
