I have to say that this book would have been zero stars without Grey.. I know it is normally the main character that makes you fall in love with a book but I didn't fall in love with the book only the character. Her story was brilliant and I just wanted to see her get her happy ever after. I have a thing for women who don't know that they are beautiful and are just plain innocent because of something that has happened in their lives. I really really liked her. Dawson I didn't care for him as much as everyone else. ( )

This was a 3.5 stars for me.. I was expecting more..

It starts out pretty slow, but it just gives the background on Grey to help bring us to the why of her choice. Her upbringing was extremely strict. I am from the South, but wasn't raised in church but can completely see why she was so sheltered. I've went to school with girls similar to her! But anyways. The story really picked up for me when she started stripping. Though the lack of contact or friendships kind of blow my mind and seems a little off. I loved when she reverted back and forth to speaking more from her southern roots.. I can relate and constantly use the word ain't like she does.

While I liked Dawson and her together I feel like their relationship was to rushed. It was a whole new type of insta love for me. I don't mind the insta love as long as I am shown the background of it. I do believe you can fall in love quickly, but that usually involves more opening up and time spent together than what I felt in this story. The sexy times in this book were hot, but fairly frequent. Which is also okay.. But I just needed to see a deeper emotional connection with them. And while some sexual stuff doesn't bother me, this one the anal scene particular one kinda seemed unnecessary. I didn't mind it but I just felt like it was just thrown in there. Like "hey I mentioned this earlier but haven't done it yet, so uhmm yeah right here sounds great ...." Overall not a horrible read and will read more by this author.

I just think I needed more of a emotional connection. ( )

Life can play games with us sometimes. We grow and deal with it throws our way, or we do not survive. This is a story of survival and determination, as well as fining love and hanging on to what is true. Definitely recommended! ( )

At first I thought there was no way Grey was going to ever come out of her shell. Even when she stood up for herself and went after what she wanted it was a sad sad existence. In walks the smoking hot movie star Dawson - he only has eyes for Grey. It's a tough battle Dawson has trying to break down Grey's walls but he doesn't give up. Tender loving turns to hot and juicy sex scenes.
Fabulous ending.

"I want him to show me what I've never known."

"He brought me breakfast in bed. And he's done it shirtless. Women of America, be jealous." ( )

So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again. Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind. He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes? I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player...but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not. And then things get complicated.… (more)
