Worship is an art, says author Bittner, and like any art, it can be appreciated more and improved with instruction and practice. Every chapter is practical, grounded solidly in Scripture, and filled with real-life examples and points of application. I can easily see this book being used effectively as a devotional guide for individual believers who want to deepen their worship experience, as a small-group study guide, or as a supplemental or primary text for Bible college students in an introductory worship class. Highly readable. Highly recommended. ( )

Are you getting everything out of your worship experience? Have you ever wondered if you were missing something in your relationship with God? The Art of worship will transform your worship experience and enhance your relationship with God. Gain insight into what is taking place in your church. Develop an understanding of individual parts of the service, and why it is included. Learn what it means to worship through the week, and explore new approaches to your personal time with God. Worship is an art that must be practiced. But how would you describe worship and what would you include in your description? How do we get the most out of the sermon? Why does the church talk about our money? What is this thing called Baptism? Why do we need to be involved with a local church body, and do we really need to participate in a small group? Can our job be a part of worship? How can we include our occupation into our worship experience? The Art of Worship is a must read for every believer. It is packed with scripture reference. It is Biblically solid, but easy to read, and full of principles to apply immediately. If you have never read a Christian book, The Art of Worship should be your first. Read it on your own, or go through it with your study group. Use The Art of Worship as a primer for every new church member. Make sure that every person who leads worship has a copy of The Art of Worship. Watch the video trailer for The Art of Worship at: http://youtu.be/hVedGHDs1VE
