This book taught me several things.
1. you can have a good plot and storyline, even great characters but still be a bad book. i.e fifty shades of grey

2. I didn't care for the authors random thoughts that tended to distract me from the scene she was developing. For instance in the middle of a heightened sexual tension moment she describes it like… the feeling where you are running after a kite string that got away and she's chasing after it… times like this struck me as odd and took me out of the moment.

3. that I prefer less graphic details in a book. or ever. parts of this book kinda grossed me out. way to much detail and sometimes too vulgar for my taste. you can't bring characters back from certain things they've done in my opinion.

This was the first book I asked for a refund on from audible. I was disappointed. Once again a trend I am seeing in books lately is nothing redeeming about the hero or attractive besides the fact they are smoking hot or protective of the heroine . Not funny, witty, charming, sweet… just attraction for some cosmic reason.

I liked the plot, had potential, but right from the start I was more interested in the character of the younger brother than the main hero. I laughed out loud in this book several times. a few time because the author can be genuinely funny and writes very much in the now. but other times it was out of an overly cheesy overly descriptive sex scene that use words that are not something it's ever think to use or say in real life.
