A disaster preparedness book that the people affected by hurricane Sandy and similar weather related catastrophes would have benefited from greatly. Even though a notch paranoid, the book provides the reader with practical advice everyone should be knowledgeable about.
As far as the current world affairs are concerned, what is becoming obvious to any thinking person is that the quality of life would greatly improve for the people of the world as a whole if we were to return to the land instead of continuing to move to densely populated cities. It would require that we return to gardening instead of monoculture farming, also known as permaculture or polyculture. Monoculture eventually leads to desertification, which leads to starvation. ...
