I won't be adding all the craft and art books I read this year but thought this was an exceptional book. It contains 40+ DIY projects that are so inventive and unique, but also quite simple. I find that they are also practical. If a project can be done fairly quickly, it is not so daunting, and certainly this book has many of those. For example, a fringe garland simply requires that you tie a slip-knot of varied colors of 18 inch long rope( found at a Home Depot type store) around another long strand of rope to create a garland for any party theme. They used teal-pink-blue-yellow. Or use pinking shears to cut a bow tie out pf leaher or imitation leather material and tie it around the middle, attaching it to the strap of a pair of flats. Formal wear for the foot! Loved this one-Put various coins inside those key-identifiers (plastic circles of various colors-so you can distinguish your keys)Then attach them with a jump ring to a bracelet. Add a toggle clasp and voila! This doesn't require any soldering for a novice jewelry maker. There are many more. If I can get even one of them made with my limited schedule right now, I will put it on here. (If I can get my tablet to pick up a network!!! But I really enjoyed this book for the simplicity of its projects and the fact that they really looked good even though they were ridiculously easy. Definitely filled with things to be done at a birthday or theme party. Inexpensive, with good results and fun to do! Highly recommended. ( )

(64) Simple, easy-to-achieve crafts populate this book by crafting TV personality Erica Domesek. Projects involve decorations, fashion, home accessories, and serving pieces or a variety of thematic parties and special occasions. Recommended for beginning D-I-Yers who are looking for accessible, hip crafts. ( )
