“BOND BETRAYED” is the follow-up story to “Ink In The Blood” by Chandra Ryan. This is an 152 page story priced at $5.78. (C’mon, Ellora’s Cave – reevaluate your pricing structure! It really can’t be helping your authors gain new readers!?!) In this story, Nikki is the daughter of the magic Community’s equivalent of a Mafia Don – and all she wants to do is see him dead since she knows he killed her mother. Her father wants to control her, because she (like him) is a seducer and can “convince” the opposite sex to do their bidding. Isaac wants Nikki to use as a bargaining chip to get the return of his sister from Nikki’s father, who is holding her captive to convince Isaac to get his ink on his skin. Isaac doesn’t want the Rathe ink, because doing so makes Isaac’s power (that of stripping others of THEIR power) null & void – which is exactly why Nikki’s father DOES want Isaac tattooed. (I know that sounds really confusing, but Chandra Ryan does a much better job at explaining it – that is why she is the author & I’m just the reader LOL!)

What didn’t I like about the book? Nothing that the author had control over (Ellora’s Cave, you get one star for your pricing).

What DID I like about the book? Again, Chandra Ryan does a great job of creating an environment in a short amount of pages, along with believable characters, that can really draw in a reader. I’ve always found the Ellora’s Cave authors to be dependable in their ability to write creative and imaginative sex scenes… and Chandra Ryan does no less. It’s also nice to “see” Izzy and Jacob from “Ink In The Blood” and to see the sisters have peace and love in their lives. Happy sigh…

Now to go check out Chandra’s website & see if she has any more books based around the Community! Happy reading for the carpool lane! ( )
