Although they are shortish, there is still a story there. And the MC's are all hot. The added bonus of the cute and cuddly puppies does no harm either lol. I love Will! He's such a sweetheart and I would love to be able to play "mum" for him. If anyone deserves a family and a HEA it's him. Lawrence...well, he took some getting use to, but in the end grew on me as well. On to the next one! no reviews | add a review

This book started out fun with Bob and Will, but started to go downhill after Lawrence came into the picture. Bob is a very disobedient dog that somehow always gets hold of his leash and is able to chew it to the point where it breaks when he pulls too hard on it. This is where you ask how smart is Will that he leaves the leash lying around where Bob can chew on it every single time and he never catches Bob doing it? Besides, if Bob did that consistently, why not get a chain lead instead? Anyway, Bob makes a break for it, gets hit by a car and that’s where Lawrence, the driver of the car comes into the picture. He’s very bossy. In fact so bossy I don’t know how anyone can stand him. He’s the kind of person who’s never wrong and has to be in control of people and the situation. Red flags went up and I thought Lawrence might be an abuser, which would have been terrible for Will who was depressed and preferred to live in isolation from the world.
I like that the author touched on depression in the story, but the supposed relationship between Lawrence and Will was strange. Lawrence tells Will he likes him, but I never got the feeling why. They were always arguing. Will let people push him around and just got angry when they did. For me the story turned into a mish-mash of ideas when Will came to the decision they couldn’t be a couple. The reasoning for it was weak and felt like an idea slapped together.
Peter and Evan show up from book one which was nice. There’s also a hot sex scene involving all four guys at Lawrence’s home. It’s not ménage, more like mild exhibitionism. That scene and Bob, were the best things about the book. Bob was expressive for being injured and locked in his crate for most of the book.
This is a fast read and could be read as a stand-alone, but it’s probably best to read the first book first. I enjoyed book one much more than I did this one. The ideas in this book were barely held together. I can only give Bob Destroyer of Leads, 2 Stars
