I don't care for zombies, but I loved this book. It is that good. ( )

Well. If you like the television series, "The Walking Dead", you will recognize the theme in this novel. Instead of "walkers" we have "hungries". The big difference is that there are a few half human/half hungry children who will carry the future. It is a good, if gory, story. The main point of the novel is that humanity must consider the ramifications of their choices, and that love is transformative. ( )

Is a great book... The narration has a very good peace and it allow you to get into and also do not want to stop... The characters have a very good development and they do not take decisions that are completely unexpected with them... It follows their own logic and they assume their mistakes. Really like it. ( )

I couldn't read this fast enough. Carey takes a basic post-apocalypse road trip to survival and fills it with great characters and an ending right out of Twilight Zone at its peak. Excellent! ( )

This book makes me want to expand my horizons and consider reading more science fiction, which I have never been interested in. ( )

Not every gift is a blessing. Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant Parks keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite. But they don't laugh. Melanie is a very special girl. Emotionally charged and gripping from beginning to end, The girl with all the gifts is the most powerful and affecting thriller you will read this year.… (more)
