I like this book because it tells an entertaining story and throws in some challenging names to challenge the reader as they go along in the book. The pictures are fun and recognizable because they are Disney Planes characters. This book used the name "Ripslinger" which is kind of complicated compared to the rest of the words in this book. Another harder name this book used was "Dottie." This book shared an inspirational message of overcoming adversity. Dusty was never meant to be a racing plane, but he figured out a way to "train" himself so that he could join the "big race" along with the other racing planes. Dusty quickly made an enemy with the fastest plane and that plane tried to destroy Dusty. But, without using tricks or anything mean, Dusty won the race. This is a good model of being honest. The "big picture" of this book is to try your hardest and put your mind towards whatever you want to accomplish and you might succeed at something you were told that you could never succeed at. ( )
