A novel that "lovers of Amish fiction and inspirational romances will enjoy" from the author of Summer of Secretsand Autumn Winds (The Book Connection).

Snow is falling, cookies are baking, and Christmas is just around the corner in Willow Ridge, Missouri, where a new season marks fresh beginnings for the residents of the tranquil Amish town . . .
As another year draws to a close in Willow Ridge, life seems to be changing for everyone but Rhoda Lantz. Her widowed mother is about to remarry, her sister is a busy newlywed, and soon Rhoda will be alone in her cozy apartment above the blacksmith's shop. An ad posted by an Englischer looking for someone to help with his mother and children may offer just the companionship she's looking for, but if she falls for the caring single father, she may risk being shunned by her community. Certain she can only wish for things she cannot have, Rhoda must remember that all things are possible with God, and nothing is stronger than the power of love.

"The third book in the charming Seasons of the Heart series has wonderful, sweet characters who are at a crossroads in their lives and are having trouble deciding which path to travel."â??RT Book Reviews (4 stars)

Life is changing for Rhoda’s family. Her sister is a newlywed and her widowed mom is remarrying soon. But for Rhoda, life has become routine. When she happens upon an ad placed by an Englisher looking for someone to watch his kids and elderly mom while he is working, she jumps at the chance. It may be her road to happiness, but it won’t be without its perils. A well written story, it is so much more than just another romance. It has an intriguing plot, as well as thought-provoking secondary plots, and well developed interesting characters. ( )

Once again, I could not put this book down! This continuing story of the Lantz family and their Amish community in Missouri is a great read.

Rachel is now married and Rhoda is feeling down. Her mom will be marrying soon and she is still a maidel. Rhoda is at loose ends when she sees and ad posted for a caregiver for two children and an elderly woman who recently suffered a stroke. Rhoda applies for the job and is immediately hired. It doesn't take long for Rhoda and the Englisher who hired her to fall in love. Rhoda knows she must put and end to the relationship but she isn't sure she can say good-bye to the family she has grown to love. Meanwhile, Bishop Hiram Knepp is still causing trouble, especially for the Lantz family. ( )

I am an avid reader, and read a lot of Amish, Charlotte Hubbard/Naomi King is among the best. Her stories ring so true, and keep your attention right to the end.
Winter of Wishes, is just one of those page turners. We follow up with all of the characters we have come to love, from our previous step into their lives. In this story our Rhoda Lantz is about to accept a job working for a divorced single father of two. He also has his Mother living with him, she is now handicapped from a stroke.
You could write what is about to happen in your head! Nope! We also have our sweet, loveable, Bishop Hiram back. If you have read the previous books you know Hiram, if you haven't don't worry, you will know him real fast.
Come and open the cover of this book, and you won't put it back down. You will not be disappointed. I hope there is another book for me to treasure in this series! Enjoy!

I received this book through Pump Your Book Virtual Tours, and was not required to give a positive review. ( )
