I wasn't enamored of the ending which trailed off instead of wrapping things up for the characters. On the plus side all the pictures and reference data were great. ( ) Have read all in the series. A few friends and I have discussed Yellowstone in some detail, seen several films and documentaries on the subject. Author did his research. Unfortunately my friends and I didn't dream of this must widespread damage. Living in Oregon, earthquakes and volcanoes waking are a matter of time! Great series, please read them all! no reviews | add a review
The Yellowstone caldera erupts with a series of 11.2 earthquakes, followed by a 9.45 quake in Puget Sound; volcanic ash spews up to the jet stream. Seattle is struck by a tsunami. The Columbia Generating Plant on the Hanford Nuclear Reservation begins a meltdown. Dams on the Missouri and Snake Rivers fail. The power grid in the entire country begins to collapse. A page-turning novel and a great motion picture premise, follow the plight of eight everyday citizens as they scramble to avoid harm's way on Day One of The Beginning of the End.
