I like the idea of SEAL Team 666, I like the way the chupacabras were used, but I'm just not sure I'm interested in this "military" of a story. Government ops, patriot militias, cartels, all of that is just not something I'd normally be interested in reading about. So while I enjoyed the story, the series is probably going to be not for me. ( ) "Border Dogs" is a short story that fills some space between Ochse first and second books in his "Seal Team 666" series. The story follows an undercover operation chasing down a series of what appear to be Chupacaba attacks along the Mexican border. Ochse is a terrifically descriptive writer and seems to know his military stuff very well. A few characters from his novel appear in this story, but none stand out. You'll enjoy this story if you like Ochse's military-supernatural themes. no reviews | add a review
Sent to Southern Arizona to investigate rumors of chupacabra running rampant, SEAL Team 666 becomes embroiled in Mexican cartel politics, the loss of one of their own, and the machinations of an American patriot group who wants to lock down the border at any cost.
