“You’ll always be my homerun.”

I just adore Jace, let me just go ahead and get that out there. Lexi and Jace's story is just simply beautiful. Who knew a second chance at love would be so good?
This story from the very first line grabbed my attention and did not let go!

After ten years of not seeing or speaking to one another Jace and Lexi still had amazing chemistry. They were still drawn to one another and after getting to know each other again they realize they possibly never stopped loving each other either.

“Alexa, I’ve never forgotten about you. I’ve never had a connection with any other woman like the one you and I had—that I know we still have. You were my only. You were it for me. My homerun. My grand slam. My perfect game. I’ve never, I will never, ever want anyone but you”

SWOON. Anyways, not only is this book sweet, it is also pretty damn hilarious as well. There were several times I was laughing out loud. That being said there were also times I cried. Not only will you fall in love with Lexi and Jace, you will also fall in love with everyone else that surrounds them. The supporting characters are just as awesome. They are also the cause of many laughs.

Amazing debut by Tessa Teevan, I know I for one will read anything she writes!

This is a review of the audio version of Ignite
Read by Todd Haberkorn and Chris Dukehart

Ignite is a steamy romance that starts off with two high school best friends whose romance ignites at the end of senior year. The friendship between them is genuine and heartfelt. They plan for forever, until life tears them apart. Jace McAllister joins the service and right after professing his love for his long term best friend Alexa Sullivan, he is sent away. Alexa also is forced to move and their paths after high school go in different directions.

Alexa marries another man she meets a few years later, but their marriage is cut short by a car accident. Devastated and scared, Alexa vows never to give her heart away again. Jace has a tough life with his service oversees and the things he sees in war, but despite the time he can never forget the girl he’s loved since high school. When a 10 year reunion and Alexa’s funny and pushy older sister Sierra push Jace and Alexa back together, sparks fly. The passion that’s been slowly sizzling all these years blazes back into a roaring fire, but Alexa is afraid to get hurt.

As far as hero’s go, Jace is the ultimate – he’s kind, understanding, sexy, sweet, and a guy so awesome you hope they exist in real life rather than just books Alexa is sweet but scared, and very likeable. This book is steamy!!! After all, they do have 10 years of missed time to make up for ;)

This book was co-narrated by Todd Haberkorn (Jace) and Chris Dukehart (Alexa). Both did an outstanding job as the characters. Todd’s voice is masculine and young and he does a good Jace. Chris’s voice is sweet and soothing and uncertain at times which represents Alexa perfectly. Both were very good narrators and easy to listen to.
