Picture book realistically addressing the diet of a bear throughout the seasons. Includes both prey death and scavenging, as well as eating insects. The illustrations are excellent and not scary or gross, and the repeating chorus about eating like a bear would make it a great read-aloud.

This book take you through the hibernation of bear. How they look for food, all the way to the cozy den they spend the winter in. Although this book is geared toward younger children, I think it is a good book to read to all aged children introducing hibernation. ( )

EAT LIKE A BEAR follows a bear after hibernation and gives information about a bear's diet. The author keeps it fun with a poetic style and the illustrations are artful and narrating. I believe it would make a good book for a science lesson about hibernation, Spring, or bears. ( )

Eat Like a Bear tells the story of the different foods that a bear eats in each season. This book doesn't have a detailed storyline, but it can help children learn about a bear's diet. This book would be great to read aloud to younger children because of the repetitive words and sentence patterns. Pictures are also simple so that the children can focus on the information in the book.

This book follows the eating habits of a bear. From waking up from hibernation to preparing to hibernate in the winter to feeding her cubs.
