The trip is aboard the Tyee, a 53-foot Spencer ketch with center cockpit built near Vancouver, B.C. Canada. The name is an Indian word given to the strongest and largest spring salmon.

Adventurous destinations on the cruise include The Marquesas, Society Islands, Leeword Group, Rarotonga, Niue, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Taboo and Hawaii.
