Visiting the Museo Evita was one of my must-do while in Buenos Aires. This book does the museum justice with its excellent layout, ample photos covering the museum itself, the artifacts, and the historic photos. The introduction reminds the reader of Eva Durante’s family’s early financial struggles in a single mother household, and its influence that shaped Evita’s beliefs as a future leader, providing for the poor of the country. Her many successes included the building in which this museum is housed, which was a women and children residential home. The large industrial size kitchen is well preserved as a reminder of the true purpose of this building and the legacy of Evita. Excellent read and a delightful reminder of this warm, charming, and touching museum.
This is a duo language book of Spanish and English. ( )
