I'm reviewing an alternate cover version of this book published in 1986 (but same ISBN). I'll upload an alternate cover edition if I can find a good picture, but unfortunately my copy has "for the teacher" written across the cover.

My 1986 edition is now out of date, since there's no Yugoslavia bordering Greece anymore, but the basics about Greece itself are still accurate as far as I know. (Actually, some administrative divisions may have changed since the 80s.) From what I've seen in online previews, the 2010 version is in color and with better typesetting. My version has quite a few typos - mostly mistakes in conversion from polytonic accents to monotonic - which are unfortunate in a book for people learning the language. The content is good for learners, though. I learned about the major geographical and administrative regions of Greece, including major cities in each region and what they're famous for, etc. It's designed for use with school children in a Sunday School Greek class, I think, because most chapters have exercises such as "color the islands blue and the mainland red" or similar. There are also questions and other exercises you can do if coloring books aren't your fancy. ( )
