Jasper Magazine presents The 2nd Act Film Festival Screenplays is a compilation of ten original independent screenplays written specifically for The 2nd Act Film Festival presented by Jasper Magazine and held in Columbia, SC in October 2013. Ten juried filmmakers and their screenwriters were given acts one and two of a brief screenplay and then charged with writing the second act and creating a film of no more than six minutes comprised of all three acts. Acts one and three were written by New York Times bestselling writer Janna McMahan, film festival director Wade Sellers, and Jasper Magazine editor Cynthia Boiter. Filmmakers and screenplay writers include Alex Smith, Brian Cowley, Chrystlin McAllister, O. K. Keyes and Alexis Stratton, Ron Hagell, Michael McClendon, Ebony Wilson, Cecil Decker, Jeff Driggers with Drew Baron and O'Neal Peterson, and Jason Stroud with Eric Hoh and Thomas Ray.
