Summary: Boris tries to tell Morris a riddle, but Morris does not understand what a riddle is. So Boris gives different examples of riddles, and Morris still does not understand. Then Boris gets mad and quits trying to explain what a riddle is to Morris.

Personal Reaction: I thought this poem was really funny, and I remember reading a bunch of Boris and Morris stories when I was a kid.

Classroom Extension: You could use this riddle as an extension on to a lesson about old nursery rhymes and riddles. The teacher could have the students write their own riddles to get a better understanding of what a riddle is and how to write one.
