"Toni Murphy was eighteen when she and her boyfriend, Ryan, were wrongly convicted of the murder of her younger sister. Now she is thirty-four and back in her hometown, working every day to forge and adjust to a new life on the outside. She's doing everything in her power to avoid violating her parole and going back to prison. But nothing is making that easy--not Ryan, who is convinced he can figure out the truth; not her mother, who clearly doubts Toni's innocence; and certainly not the group of women who made Toni's life miserable in high school and may have darker secrets than anyone realizes. Before Toni can truly move on, she must risk everything to find out the truth and clear her name"--… (more)

This was one of the best books I have read in a very long time. Very well written I would definitely read something else of Chevy Stevens. Her story drew me in and I really felt as if I knew each and every one of the characters. Toni Murphy goes threw hell and back in this book it's a must a read. I cried through some of it but then again, that's what makes a good book. ( )

Chevy Stevens has quickly become one of my favourite authors. Her writing is quick to draw me into her stories and develop strong feelings for each of her characters. There is absolutely not one dull moment in "That Night." It was saddening to see how Toni had to endure bullying from once friends in high school and then had to switch it up to a kick-ass to survive her days in prison. All the characters were very well thought out and developed. That Night imo was a very incredible story that takes Toni from being victimized to final redemption along with her boyfriend Ryan. ( )

This book was so well written and thought out! I was so surprised at the end! Oh my gosh I loved it! ( )

Didn't finish this the first time I started it. Could not get into it as fast as I did her other books, which makes me sad because I really like this author. Am going to have to give it another try

Epigraph
Dedication
For all the people around the world who dedicate their lives to helping animals, whether it be working in shelters, volunteering, forming rescue groups, or fostering animals in need.  Thank you.
First words
I followed the escorting officer over to Admissions and Discharge, carrying my belongings in a cardboard box--a couple pairs of jeans, some worn-out T-shirts, the few things I'd gathered over the years, some treasured books, my CD player.
