More Lobster Johnson short stories. Lobster goes up against Nazis, gangsters with supernatural help, and Japanese spies and assassins. Fun stuff. Recreates the feel of the pulps but in glossy full-colour. It's too self-aware to be the same as the originals, but the writing is good and so is the artwork, so just go with it. ( )

This is the third collection of Lobster Johnson stories but the first one I have read. I'm familiar with him since it is the comic that Hellboy read as a kid in his series. This collection of stories has that wonderful pulpy feel to it like the old movie serials. The claw always delivers justice and seems to know everything and does it all. Just a fun collection of rock em sock em stories and now I must go and track down the other volumes to read.
