The stories were okay. The only story I would have given a 3 1/2 was Shadow Bound by Erin Kellison. The only author I had read before in this group was Felicity Heaton.

I just was not impressed by the writing style of any of the stories and found all but Shadowbound to be mearly hohum.

Dark and Dangerous: Six-in-One Hot Paranormal Romances

HARD MATED by Jennifer Ashley
Jordan, the little wild cat, steals the heart of his unknown father. Instant pride and love fill the self deprecating Spike when he meets his son for the first time. Myka, the human that loves and wants to protect her best friends child from more hurt and loss is along for the ride.
This is a delightful book that stirs the heart. The characters touch the heart of the reader. As a mom, I know what spit fires can do to those not used to them. Jordan takes the cake, tempting fate as he’s learning about his new family. Myka loves Jordan, not only because of the loss of his mother, she genuinely cares for the boy, spirit and all. She’s very protective of the little one. Spike, learns that he’s a dad at Jordan’s mother’s death bed. The bond he feels with the child is instantaneous.
Myka and Spike’s bond develops, but not just because of the child. They have more in common than one would think being human and shifter.
This is a light read that is so carefully woven. You don’t want to put it down. I read it in one afternoon and was left wanting to know more about the characters, especially the trials of raising Jordan. I’m sure he’s going to be a handful!

THE MATING HUNT by Bonnie Vanak
Arianna has deep seeded fears. The question becomes will the one that has been her protector since he found her lost in the woods, be the one to allay her fears?
This story wraps around the horrors of childhood terrors and the strength that it takes to overcome those deep seeded fears.
Arianna isn’t the only one with a questionable past. Kyle her protector didn’t live with the Cosby family, that’s for sure, he had his own nightmarish childhood memories. Those times from his past have forged him into a caring protector of Arianna.
These are characters you can’t wait for something good to happen to them. Their star crossed sensibilities may be the one thing that stands in their way. I loved reading this book. It has mystery, and sizzle to keep everything flowing in the right direction. It was a great afternoon read, perfect for these gloomy afternoons!

EMBRACE THE DARK by Caris Roane
Gerrod, mastyr vampire of the Merhaine Realm has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Responsibility for his domain zaps the love of life right out of him. Who would have ever guessed a human cupcake baker could add a little spice and happiness to the uber serious vampire?
Abigail of Flagstaff, a human cupcake bakery owner Arizona has enjoyed working in the Merhaine Realm for a year. She’s teased and done everything she can think of to get Gerrod to ‘lighten up’.
As the story unfolds, Abigail and Gerrod’s lives are thrown together. Both follow their tendencies of putting themselves last, and thinking about the greater good.
The twists and turns abound, and you are engaged with a couple that need to realize that their happiness isn’t tied to their selflessness. Sooner or later, you have to go after and take what you want with wild abandon.
ASSASSIN'S TOUCH by Laurie London

Follow along as Rickart and Neyla find their destiny. The two are thrown together in circumstances beyond their control as war torn countries propaganda have set them against each other.
Neyla’s paranormal talents were totally latent, until a horrible train crash forced them to surface. She’s immediately plucked from her dress shop where her creative talents prospered and forced into a war as an automatic officer with no soldiering talents.
Rickart, on the other hand, is in the border war for good reason. The enemy has crossed over numerous times and pillaged their lands, taking what they want. Rickart finds himself in a quandary when it comes to this little soldier.
Ms. London has woven a wonderful tale. I was mesmerized by the characters, and couldn’t wait to continue reading to see what happened to these two that were so connected. I hated to see the story end. I wanted to know so much more about where their lives were going to lead them.
SHADOW BOUND by Erin Kellison
Talia O’Brien has lived a hard life. Her mother died in child birth, the gift of a child given by death himself to a mortal woman that he’d loved for her entire lifetime. Unfortunately, by breaking the rules consequences were set in motion.
From the prologue to epilogue you’re thrown into a world where shadow and mystery abound. The wraith want nothing more than eternal life, mindlessly sucking the souls of mere mortals.
Adam Thorne found himself bound to the fight against the wraith by his own brother. Nothing would thrill him more than to find a way to kill him; after all he’d already destroyed their family. If Adam could find a way to destroy Jacob, then there would be hope in winning the war with the wraith.
Talia and Adam’s lives become intertwined. She wants nothing to do with his fight. She just wants to run and hide, to be safe. The story develops and keeps the reader hooked with action, romance, mystery, mythology and Irish lore all rolled into one wonderfully written story.

SEDUCE by Felicity Heaton
Sera has found her man, the man of her dreams, her one and only love. She’s pretty sure. We follow along to see what lengths she will go to grab this very old aristocratic vampire’s attentions.
Antoine has everyone convinced that he has walls of cold hard stone built around his heart. An impenetrable fortress of protection, after all in three hundred years, it’s a system that’s worked for him as he strives to cure his brother.
Snow, wiser than his brother thinks. Strong and dark with a bloodlust that can over whelm him and leave a trail of destruction in his wake. He doesn’t like what he’s become, but the devotion of his little brother, Antoine, has kept him somewhat under control while they strive to find a cure.
These three characters lives are intertwined and a sense of family honor is well developed. The twists and turns kept me hooked and it was so hard to put the book down. A very enjoyable read!
Dark and Dangerous: Six-in-One Hot Paranormal Romances
What a perfect title for this set of books. From one author to the next, I was engaged and lost in the paranormal worlds they created. I have added six wonderful story tellers to the list of authors that I have to keep up with! ( )
