Kyvig (read 29 Jan 2005) This book tries to tell its story without foreshadowing the future, unlike most histories. I found it of high interest, though it tells a familiar story. It has a number of pictures taken in Irwin, Iowa, in the 1930s--of interest to me because Irwin is just a town away from my home town. Social history often I find of less interest but this book held my attention and appreciation well. ( )
