Ana Goldberg has hyperthymesia, a condition that prevents her from forgetting even the smallest details of anything that has ever happened. Her therapist suggests she write about her life in order to distinguish between her endless memories and the elements that are really crucial. The daughter of a diplomat, she has traveled from country to country without putting down roots anywhere, and without really knowing who she is. When she meets and falls in love with Israel, she is unaware that he is plotting a scam to steal her valuable art collection and then disappear as abruptly as he came into her life. But for Ana, it has become the starting point for a better understanding of her own identity. -- p.
