In this iteration of Pangos world, Pango (a racoon drawn in simple, crayon drawing style) uses a tangram-puzzle-like "pieces" which kids can slide into pre-shaded shapes to create trucks, rockets, cars, trains, etc. then change the backgrounds to suit them and touch different parts of their creation to make it fly, honk, swim or go. Slide Pango into the vehicle to make it work. The pieces have to be turned first, so kids have to develop a sense of visual direction. There are easily numbered tabs so kids can go back to their favorite accessories and use their imagination to create more.
This is one of many Pango apps, and the second one that I have played with. It would appeal to toddlers and preschoolers as a way to draw without drawing. The lines are big and easy and the colors are muted but happy.
