This is cuuuute! I like Archie and Valerie as a couple, more than Archie & Betty or Veronica, to be honest. I like that they have their music in common and I just think they're too cute.

When I read the Archie Marries... storyline by Michael Uslan a little while ago I commented that it was really fun, but I wanted to see more variations beyond the Archie/Betty, Archie/Veronica dynamic. And the comic book gods granted my wish, apparently! I was delighted to see the "Memory Lane" storyline brought back, here told from Valerie's POV, in which she wanders forward in time and glimpses a possible future in which she marries Archie.

However, it's really very fluffy, I mean even more so than the original - not that the first Archie Marries... storyline was deep or anything, but it did feel like it had a certain weight to it that was missing here. Also this felt rushed, I would have loved to see it given a bit more time to develop.

I did really enjoy that we got to see a few additional glimpses into alternate "Archie marries" universes at the end, though, that was another thing I was just dying to see! Archie marries Cheryl Blossom! OMG! Hilarious (poor Archie..), Archie marries Sabrina! Very Bewitched-style! Love it! Still no Archie marries Jughead, though...come on, Archie Comics, there's got to be a parallel universe like that out there somewhere! It's gotta be more likely than Archie and Ethel, for goodness' sake! (What about Archie and Kevin...?)

But, just to nitpick, why did Valerie glimpse all these different possibilities in Archie's future? Shouldn't she have been seeing alternate possibilities of who she would marry? That would have suited me fine, too, Archie doesn't have to be the centre of the universe allthe time. ( )
