" Just get her a horse, she'll outgrow it in a couple of years. "
I remember being 5 and walking in on my parents talking about MY love of horses and saying the same thing- except for me it was the possbility of riding lessons. (vetoed by mum thinking i'd out grow my love of horses)
Susan Acree has taken us on her personal journey with a progression of horses that touched her heart and life. Her family and friendships, her adventures, and her obvious love of all things equine.
BUT. Have a tissue or two on hand. When she finds her beloved horse, Race, incredibly ill, my heart was pounding with hope ,even tho i already knew the outcome. Ulitmately i was filled with sadness AND tears. THAT's what a good a writer Susan is.
