Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0972422455, Perfect Paperback)

Harold Deane Akins has led a remarkable life, by any standard. Raised by her maternal grandparents during the Depression after the death of her young father, she learned by example to set goals and work hard to achieve them. Her most famous achievement has been the founding, along with her husband, Rev. George Akins of the Evangelical Bible Institute, now the Savannah Christian Preparatory School, where she was a principal for over 20 years. She also helped established Mission Youth Camp and Union Mission, Inc. At age 80 she became a Foreign Missionary, serving in such inhospitable places as Haiti and Kenya, as well as Guatemala, Mexico,Taiwan and Japan. In this book Mrs. Akins leads you every step of the way along a very difficult road, always guided by her unwavering faith and dedication to serving the Lord. For every Savannah Christian Prep student past and present, FOUNDED ON THE ROCK-JESUS CHRIST is a must read.
