This is a good education book because it gives student a chance to relate to a different culture. This story was about a little boy named Nacho and all he wanted was a certain soup. Although his mom grew tired of cooking it for him. He decided that he would learn to cook for himself. This book was good to show that students can take a stand and try new things. Nacho eventually decided to try different food and became a lover of cooking and trying new things. ( )

Nacho only likes to eat one thing--gazpacho! That is, until he goes to the market and sees all the yummy foods. Spanish vocabulary.

Wonderful. Made me smile. Poetry, colorful illustrations and learning a new language all in one fun book that makes your mouth water for all the delicious foods it describes! ( )

Summary: A book about a picky eater who only wants to eat one thing-Gazpacho. Nacho won't even try any other food, even when his Mom takes him to the market to see all the different kinds and colors of food. It is definitely a book for picky eaters and teaches kids about new foods and all the different kinds out there. Definitely a book that should be read aloud.

Classroom Extension: Have kids draw pictures of their favorite foods and pictures of foods they won't eat or that their parents try to make them eat. And maybe they can all bring one ingredient of Gazpacho to class the next day and make it in the kitchen altogether.

Personal Reaction: This is such a fun book! The rhyming of the spanish and english words is so cute.
