When a book ends you probably imagine how the "happily ever after" will turn out to be, but this time I wasn't so sure it was a "happily ever after" that awaited them, because too many fucked up things had happened, so I was glad to have a glimpse of what happens after the last page, and I was also glad to see that it was very consistent with the story up till that point. They don't live the fairy tale just like they didn't live the fairy tale in "Hero", it's just life with its struggles and moments of uncertainty, but if they can make it despite all that, that's the real conquest. (Also this was marked as an "optional" read, but it actually answers quite a few questions so it was all the more welcomed).

“I can still hurt you beyond repair.”
“I don’t care.”
“You think I won’t?”
“I don’t know.”
“I’ll keep you in this mansion forever. I’ll lock all the doors.”
“You won’t have to.”

I fear "Hero" has ruined me for every other book in this genre and there's no coming back, damn it. ( )
