Annnnd another contemporary romance bites the dust. This one was exhausting. A second chance romance with lots of drama and hurt feelings, and I just don't have the patience anymore. I am trying to get over my contemporary romance burn out, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I didn't like Maya's party lifestyle... I didn't like that she is at the outset of her professional career, yet she is always out drinking and partying. She even went so far as to make out with her female boss at a nightclub. I did wonder what the story was with her mom, but not enough to keep reading. I hated her roommate Eli, who forced Maya into situations that she did not want. I would not put up with a friend like that.

Cameron was okay. Nothing good or bad to say about him. I have to say that the male narrator of the audiobook kinda ruined him for me. His character affectation kind of made everyone seem unintelligent. I didn't like the cadence, pauses and sometimes intensity of his narration.
