Not knowing this was part of a series (last in the series), I read this as a stand-alone. I'm not sure how much of a back story I may have missed, but this book was so detailed, it would be minimal. It grabs you right away, setting in motion a back and forth that was quite suspenseful. My complaint is that this is a very long book, mostly because some of the scene set-ups are way too long and descriptive. It drags. I found myself skipping a page here, 2 pages there (thinking 'blah blah'), so I could get back to the story. Overall a great plot. This book was much better than I thought it would be. The story is about a lost statue called the Wind Dancer and the individuals who are attempting to retrieve it. The story has a little bit of everything, some sex, goor, rock-n-roll and some awful villians. It keeps you on the edge of your seat with a twist at the end. no reviews | add a review
