The first story; A Precursor of the Cinema starts off like a weird pseudo historical work that I didn't expect to become drawn into. But delving inside paintings that become moving images is a really cool idea. And I love this take on untold histories - the crazy ideas that didn't catch on... I now want to read more Steven Millhauser.
