This was a great Highland Romance. Rogan MacClennan is a fierce and mighty Highlander warrior who is betrothed to marry the oldest and prettiest of the Macinnes sisters, Heather. When she is kidnapped he finds himself in the company of her younger and much plainer sister Emma, a sister who at one time had been offered to him as a bride and he had refused. They both find them selves thrown together in a quest to find and rescue Heather. The story really becomes interesting then as Rogan realizes he made a big mistake by refusing Emma, and the chemistry and love between them both really shines. I liked Rogan very much, for a fierce warrior he did have a softer side. Emma was very feisty, loyal and strong, I'd want her on my side, she was great.
I enjoyed this first book in the Macinnes Sisters Trilogy very much and can not wait to read Patience's story next, and I hope there is more about the Dark Dragon in the future. ( )
